Bio
Kristin Whipple is an accomplished piano instructor with over 12 years of experience. She is currently pursuing a Certificate in Piano Pedagogy at Utah Valley University, studying with Juliet Preston. She holds additional music degrees from Brigham Young University and Rick’s College. Kristin is currently working toward earning a National Certification of Teachers of Music (NCTM) designation through the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
A member of the Utah Music Teachers Association (UMTA) and the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC), Kristin’s students have earned top scores in in AIM (Achievement in Music) and NFMC solo festivals. She is a frequent adjudicator for AIM and NFMC solo festivals.
She has performed as a French horn player with the BYU Philharmonic Orchestra, BYU Marching Band, and the Ricks College Symphony Orchestra. Kristin has received numerous high ratings at local and state competitions and is a frequent accompanist. She also regularly performs as a soloist and accompanist in church.
Kristin has successfully worked with students of all ages. She was selected as a Music Theory teaching assistant at Ricks College and has pedagogical experience with a broad range of musical subjects.
